Smart, Judgment-Free Tax Support—From Someone Who Knows the System Inside and Out
Hi, I’m Sharlotte, founder of Virtual Tax Nerd PLLC—and yes, I proudly wear the “tax nerd” title.
Credentialed Professional
I’m a Licensed Enrolled Agent, Certified Internal Auditor, and CPA Candidate with a bachelor’s degree in business and more than 7 years of federal government experience, including time with the U.S. Department of the Treasury OIG. I’ve also prepared 200+ tax returns during a full tax season with Jackson Hewitt, working hands-on with individuals and self-employed business owners from all walks of life.
Why it matters:
Why Working With an Enrolled Agent Matters. Most people don’t realize how powerful it is to have an Enrolled Agent (EA) in their corner. As an EA, I’m federally licensed to represent taxpayers before the IRS for tax returns, resolve tax debt, and file tax debt appeals. That means if a question, notice, or issue ever comes up, you don’t have to navigate it alone—I can speak to the IRS on your behalf. I use that knowledge to help clients file accurate returns, minimize unnecessary stress, and make confident decisions—without fear or judgment.
A Different Kind of Tax Experience
Taxes can feel intimidating, overwhelming, or even embarrassing for some people. I believe they shouldn’t.
My approach is:
Judgment-free – No shame. Just solutions.
Thorough and accurate – Every line matters.
Client-centered – I take time to understand your full picture, not just your paperwork.
Built for long-term relationships – I aim to be your tax professional for years to come, not just one filing season.
Whether you’re an individual filer, self-employed professional, or small business owner, my goal is to give you peace of mind—knowing your taxes are done right and your questions are always welcome.
Life Beyond the Numbers
When I’m not working with clients, you’ll usually find me at home enjoying a funny or fantasy-filled movie with my significant other, or unwinding with music during an indoor ride on my Peloton. Balance matters—both in life and in finances.
